It's been an exhausting season for Lees, who also broke the franchise season record for games started with his 40th start and needs just 2.2 innings to break the team's innings pitched mark set in 2001. Lees is slated to start Game 1 against Pierre on Oct 18th as the Black Cats seek to stave off relegation.

In a postgame press conference, the 34-year old thanked his friends, family, manager, and personal trainer in reaching the milestone.

After 11-plus seasons as the Black Cats' star second baseman, Rodger Dobbs was granted his release and promptly inducted into the team Hall of Fame.

One of the most decorated players in team history, Dobbs racked up 7 All-Star nods, 3 All-League selections, 5 Gold Gloves, and captured the 2056 Rookie of the Year in 2056 and MVP honors in 2063. The franchise wishes him a happy retirement and plans to add him as a color commentator in the near future.
